Everyone knows Nintendo can be a little eccentric and goofy, and now we have even more proof thanks to some hilarious scans of the Japanese safety manual that comes with the Wii console system. Check them out, they make you wonder if Japanese kids are perhaps less sensible than American kids when it comes to eating twist ties and putting small plastic bags over their heads. And also, Japanese teens like to play "behind the neck" Wii, apparently. Who knew?

when i first read this i thought it was a case of how Japanese people are stereotyped as some wacky people coming from a completely alien culture.
but yeah, the pictures are crazy! doesn't Nintendo think their Jap consumers understand what is obvious? Or are Wii players considered to be required to be instructed that explicitly?
the last one with the clover is my fav.
I saw a cute site that labeled that one "don't feed the Pikmin". That was my inspiration. So weird!
