come on, microsoft, you can do better than this

Season's greetings from Emdroid! I hope everyone out there is having a wonderful Christmas/holiday season of choice and may it be filled with gaming. And now it's time for a Christmas guest appearance from... *drumroll* ScottBot! It takes some real stupid stuff to get him this riled up so hopefully he'll contribute more often now. Without further ado...

Xbox360 comes with wrong power cord: Merry Christmas! by ScottBot

I bought my little brother a 20gb Xbox360 pro new in the box from a co-worker several weeks ago. When he opened it today we never even got to plug it in. Upon going to do so, we found that the power supply had a curious black nib in the middle of the 6 pin setup which completely blocked the supplied power cord from plugging in.

It appears that the fine folks at Microsoft dropped the ball in a pretty big way as this is a more common problem than we had first thought. Many others seem to have this problem as well...

There are two different versions of the power supply/power cord setup on the Xbox360, the “2-pronged”, and the “3-pronged”. Ours came with the former while needing the latter.

We called Microsoft tech support, and after about 45 min. on the phone we are being shipped the correct power cord for our unit’s power supply. Still… totally lame, Microsoft.
